Running Playlist

Since I couldn't take my big honking camera on the race course with me I bought a disposable one. But as soon as I got back to the hotel I put it away and kind of forgot about it. I still have 9 pictures on there that I need to take before I can turn it in!

Soooo...until those pictures are developed....I'm making you all wait for race posts. I'm so mean:)

I asked my friends and family for a song to add to my running playlist that would help me and bring them to my mind while I was running. I was amazed at the diversity of choices! I heard so many of them and it helped me make it to that finish line.

Some of you have asked what they were so get ready...here they come!

1985-Bowling For Soup
All The Small Things-Blink-182
Addicted-Saving Abel
Alone-Heart
Animals-Nickelback (my song from Shawn:)

Trou Macacq-Squirrel Nut Zippers
Wake Up-KJ-52 (just an amazing, fast paced song)
Welcome to Where You Are-Bon Jovi (this song was used in the DVD of all the pictures taken during our journey with TNT-it's amazing. If you only listen to one of this list, make it this one.)
What I Want-Daughtry (Melissa again, I think...she sent me so many good ones!)
What About Now-Daughtry
Who Says You Can't Go Home-Bon Jovi, Jennifer Nettles
Yours-Dizmas

So there you have it. I know, I know...there are a bunch. But I'm not a fast runner! Every song does something to me-inspires me, reminds me of someone, moves me, or makes me want to go faster!

So, go listen. Inspire yourself. Get up and MOVE!!!!

Glad I could help load up the iPod. BTW, you have a great list here. I might have to grab some of these for my running list as well.

What a great list. When I ran the marathons we had no ipodd. It would have been great to have been able to listen to some tunes while running. Looking forward to ur post and pictures about the race. Again, congrats!

Those are a lot of great songs I have a lot of them that I listen to when I go to the Gym, I'm going to go and add some more for when everyone gets better and I can go back to the Gym...I really miss it, I never thought I'd say that!

It's a great list, and I love the diversity. Thanks for the ideas! But I have just one question: when you run & the song changes, do you find yourself changing your pace to match the beat of the music? Unless I'm on a treadmill & the pace is set, I have marching band flashbacks & tend to move w/the beat of the music... BTW, I MUCH prefer Rascal Flatts version of "Life Is A Highway" - lots more energy to it! Those guys could sing anything & I would love it, though. :-)

I forgot to tell you - I LOVE Wicked too - asked for/received the soundtrack for my bday! Have you seen the musical? I did but was in the nosebleed seats - would like to go again for a closer look.

That is an impressive play list. I think I might not be cool. I don't know even half the songs on here - as in - never heard of them. =0
