It's located where?

I've had dry lips my whole life. Whole. I'm sure I came out with chapped lips. I used to be able to put Vaseline on just at night and was fine during the day. Not anymore. Starting after I was married I had to have something with me at all times. Maybe it was all the kissing:)

Now that I'm running four days a week, outside mostly, it's getting bad. I have asked pharmacists, doctors, and the internet for help. I currently have 5 different lip balms that I am trying. Not one is working.

My last ditch effort? Bag Balm. My nephew puts it on his hands at night during the winter to help with dry skin. In my research I found that it can help with chapped lips. I headed off to Wal-Mart. I went straight to the Chap Stick area and searched around. No luck. I found a worker and asked. This was the reply. "Uh, that is in the pet aisle."

After reading the side of the can, I think I understand her reaction.

...for chapped conditions and superficial abrasions...thoroughly wash treated teats and udder with separate towels before each milking...after each milking, apply thoroughly and allow coating to remain on surface...Since 1899, Bag Balm has been the farmer's friend helping keep dairy cows form becoming chapped from the harsh Vermont environment...

Maybe the cow with the wreath of roses around its head on the lid should have told me something.

But you know what? It works. Wonders. It also helps that it doesn't have the best scent or taste so Shawn really doesn't want to kiss me.

Hmmmm...Maybe that's been my problem this whole time.

Another hilarious story Steph.
When you are running on Sunday, to take your mind off the pain, run these stories through your head again.
Be thinking of you.
Hugs

Too funny...I am outside all the time as a coach and have the same problem. The best advise is do anything but lick your lips. Easier said than done, I know!

Bath & Body Works-C. O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tint-Mint-infused for fresh breath comes in pink or coral. Pioneer Woman recommended it and I love it too. Much more kissable than Bag Balm. Give it a try and see how Shawn, oh, I mean you, like it.
