My New Phone!

I have moved up in the world!  When Shawn got his Evo in December I was not envious at all.  Not one little bit...nope...

I liked my small Hero.

It was hand sized.

I didn't need the bigger screen...or the better storage...or the cool kickstand.

I was fine.

No really.  I was.

But then something happened.  Reagan was invited to go out of town for Spring Break with a sweet family.  Way out of town.  To the middle of no where.  We love and trust this family no matter what but thought it would be nice if Reagan could get a hold of us if she needed to.  Plus her friend got a phone for Christmas and we knew Reagan would enjoy having one to play on also on the car ride.

Blah, blah, blah.

I got an Evo!!!

It's amazing.  Huge.  Tons of storage.  Runs faster.  And let's be honest here, looks cooler.  Shawn has the black one and I got the mulatto one, half black, half white.  It's cooler than his.  But don't tell him that.  He might not be able to handle it.  Mine is so cool and rare that I couldn't find a picture of it.  I did find this though.  Isn't it cute?  I have of course customized all the screens and downloaded all my favorite apps and quite a few new ones.

Daily Ab, Butt, and Arm workouts?  I have that.

Words with Friends (Stefunkc) and Word Feud (Stefunk)?  Of course.

Cardio Trainer?  Wouldn't be caught without it.  I got a widget that shows the calories I've burned for the week in the top menu bar.  I'm slightly addicted to it.  I better hurry this post up.  I need to go for a run.

Weather Bug?  Love it.  It can tell me the exact wind speed for the day.  That way I can whine about it on Facebook while doing yard work in it.

Shazam?  But of course.  That has helped me out so many times.  I hear a song, Shazam it, download it from my free music app, and add it to my running playlist.  My life is complete.

And Reagan's is too.  I don't know how though...her phone is so small and has such limited storage:c)

Dating. Do You Still Do It?

When school started again this year Shawn and I decided to do something.

Start dating again.

Each other. Don't worry.

It had been almost 16 years and we'd settled into a routine. So now we have a weekly lunch date. He works within walking distance of two hospital cafeterias and driving distance of several wonderful and unique restaurants. We don't have a specific day, but always make one work. Then we discovered that with the girls going to piano every Thursday night for an hour and a half total, we could have a date night as well!

We've met for dinner, we've gone to Starbucks, we've run errands, and we've gone to the lake and watched the sunset. It doesn't matter at all what we do or where we go, we just like spending time with each other outside of the house.

And you know what? I've always loved him, but I'm falling in love with him all over again.

How could you not love this face?Do you all still date? If not I challenge you to. You never know what you'll discover!

This Just Happened

Through texts.

Shawn:Just now settling down to start our second case. (This is at 8:45 pm when he's normally home at 5. A doctor wanted to do two head cases and they started at 1.)

Me:Holy cow balls! (Sorry for that. It just seemed to fit the situation.)

Shawn:I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but uhhh...cows don't have balls:-):-D:-D

Shawn:Neither do steers:-):-):-):-)

Me:What?? Then how do they make baby cows?

Shawn:Only bulls.

Me:Well then holy bull balls! (Again I apologize.)

Shawn:This concludes our bovine lesson of the day.

Yep, that's the type of conversations we have.

Through texting.

While he's at work.

I love it!

Still There?

I'm still here...are any of you??

My new laptop screen came in! And Shawn put everything back together! And it was the wrong screen. Again. Apparently it's pretty confusing to order one of those puppies.

So here I sit with Shawn's honking laptop crushing my thighs. Wait, maybe that's a good thing. Maybe some fat will disappear.

Moving on.

Even though I don't have my laptop I do have pictures. Because if you've read here long enough you know it would take an act of God to prevent me from taking pictures. I've been saving them all on Shawn's computer and severely dragging down his computers performance:c)

Even though I'm not blogging my life continues to race ahead. I've been working, not doing laundry, and trying to keep up. What else is new, right?

Shawn and I had a date Friday night at our universities annual fundraising auction. He is a ringman for the auctioneer every year. It's a chance to dress up, have a free meal, and see each other somewhere besides our kitchen table. I pulled out the perfect little black dress I keep in the back of my closet and bought a new pair of killer heels. Killer meaning gorgeous. Perfect in every way. Except for the fact that because of tendon or ligament damage (nope, not broken) I am again in THE BLASTED BOOT! I put the heel on the bad foot and just about cussed. It would be a pretty long and hard walk from the parking lot to the ballroom but I wanted to try it. I couldn't even walk into the next room. So I did the next best thing, I wore the flip flop that's the same height as my boot in and carried my fabulous heel in a cute bag. After I found my table I made the switch, crossed my legs, stuck it out where it could be seen, and stayed put. For you see, the heel was quite a bit higher than my boot. So if I walked, I was lurching from side to side. Attractive, don't you think? It saved us a lot of money though since I didn't walk around to the hundreds of silent auction items.

But after a while I was drawn to the hor dourves table and then to the two men in my life that I call my second dads. I tried to look level. But I don't know if it worked.

Because I loved the shoe so much I decided to wear it out to the car. Shawn had met me there from work and he was nice enough to drive my car to the door for me. Love that guy:c)

You know how I take my camera everywhere with me?? Well since I'd carried an evening bag I didn't have it with me. That means I only had my cell phone for this picture. Under lit. Out of focus. Poor quality.

But I was having a good hair day...so it's okay:c)

Just wish my fabulous heel was in the picture.

14 years!

Today is my 14th anniversary. I can't believe it. It seems like it was just a few years ago that we tied the knot. We were so young, 21 and 24. Now, three children, three houses, five cars, five jobs, two refrigerators, four comforter sets, and 10 paint colors later I am more in love with him. If I didn't have 14 things that had to be done today I'd spend more time on this, but he'll understand.

I love you honey!
