Stinking Technology

After Shawn's soccer game tonight he mentioned that he needed to stop by my aunt's house and look at her sink.

I was on my third Sonic drink for the day (don't ask) and was really only thinking of the nearest bathroom.

As we were standing on her front porch I was planning my route around her, my children, and to the nearest bathroom.

As I was waving and running I stopped. Wait, which sink was he going to be looking at? I certainly didn't want to keep him from his appointed task. After all, I had a hot date with my couch at home and I wanted to speed this along.

I quickly asked, "Which sink?"

I could hear Shawn and my aunt coming but they didn't say anything right away.

I again asked, "Which sink?" And then quickly explained that I didn't want to go into the guest bathroom if that was the one he needed to be in.

By then they were both standing in the hallway looking at me with confused expressions.

Slowly, (because of my full bladder) they started laughing. I was about to start hopping when they finally told me she was having trouble with her 'sync'.

Um, yeah. Syncing her iPhone to her computer.

Stinking technology.

Want a smile?

My computer crashed...again. My amazingly techie husband is stunned. It's something he's never seen and can't quite understand.

I like to do that from time to time, throw curve balls at him:)

So here I sit...on his laptop...without my pictures. Please pause a moment to sigh with me.

So I did the only thing I could do. I went somewhere else and stole this funny cartoon.

Shhhh, don't tell.

Can you just think about someone you know, love, or loathe that can fit into each of these? I certainly wouldn't dare to name names here...but I'm laughing to myself. I find myself fitting into several of these. Just depends on what day you catch me!

So have some fun, think of someone for each one. Take your lunch hour, or lunch 5 minutes. And say a prayer for my laptop. I can honestly say that I will go crazy without it!

That would make me 'The Drama Queen'!

Technical Difficulties

I came home from church yesterday and grabbed my laptop to finish up the Christmas card envelopes and start on the letter. It takes me quite a bit of time every year to print out the letter and make it fit in the borders of the cute paper I always get at the end of Christmas sales. I hit the hibernation button and eagerly waited.

My laptop is like my best friend. Always there for me.

But not this time. All I got was a black screen and a blinking cursor. Thankfully Shawn was home. People pay him big bucks to fix their computer problems. I have no money, but I can cook for him!

He's been working on it off and on since 1:00 yesterday...and still no luck. It's the weirdest thing. I have become his most challenging client. It was bound to happen some day.

So here I sit on the old laptop. The laptop I loved until I got the nice newer one. Now I just hate it. And it knows. The battery is shot and the power cord doesn't connect exactly like it should so it shuts off at any given time. I've had to restart 4 times just to make it this far in the post.

I have no Photoshop, no pictures, and no videos. I feel lost. And alone.

I might actually accomplish something outside the computer world today.

Oh boy.

HELP!!!

I would hope that all of my readers are praying people because that's how I am but.....

I'm out of town. We just can't get enough of that wacky family that took us to Disney World so we're at their house for a few days to bother them.

I, of course, brought two laptops, a camera, all the necessary cords, and my best friend. My external hard drive. Can you hear the angels singing?? Imagine my shock and horror when I plugged it in and it didn't work! I had Tyler look at it because he's smart but he couldn't help. We plugged it into a different computer, tried a different cord, and wept. Well, just me. Then I pulled my best kept secret out...I called Shawn. He's a computer tutor extraordinaire. But he couldn't help:( I have to wait until I get home to see what he can do in person.

So back to my original reason for this post. If you're of the praying variety, please pray. If you light incense or candles and meditate, please do. If you dance outside with chicken parts, dance away.

I'm scared! A blog without pictures? I'm not witty enough to pull that off!
