Biggest Loser

Well, apparently I've gotten myself involved in another reality show.

Don't really know how that happened.

Wait!

Yes I do.

My incredibly skinny, athletic friend told me it was good for motivation. If it motivated her to look like she does, it's worth a try for me!

I don't think watching it from my couch the first night as I ate an entire roll of fruit Life Savers was what she had in mind.

I guess I don't get the idea behind it. Why do they have couples come, spend a week, and then send half of them home? Isn't the point to them being there to work together, encourage each other, and lose weight together? Why send them home right away? Maybe it's good that I've never watched it before. It's making me crazy!

Anyone out there want to explain it to me?

Oh, and thank goodness Joelle just left. She was there waaaay too long!

And while you're explaining everything, explain to me why it hasn't motivated me to do anything. I find myself thinking, "I'm not that big so I don't need to work that hard."

Girl, you crack me up! When Tuesdays roll around, I get excited!! That's our 'mexican' night! Chips, cheese, tacos, the works...all to eat while watching The Biggest Loser!! And they sent half of them away to prove that it's something you CAN do at home! I'm not sure that point was proven as well as they would like. lol!!

Yes, the reason it hasn't motivated you to get off the couch yet is b/c they are still early in the show and the contestants are still well, pretty heavy. As the show goes on and you see them transform into dramatically different people, THAT's the motivation. You suddenly don't want them to lose so much weight that they are skinnier than you. Thankfully, I have never been a heavy girl, but it is quickly catching up to me.

That show is AWESOME! One of my favorite reality shows. Honestly I love watching the transformations, but also, I love Jillian. I've decided I would love to have a trainer like her. she's incredible. Be patient with the show, it does get more inspiring as they go along. Beside, Bob and Jillian do offer so good trainer tips during the shows as well.

Unfortunatly it hasn't motivated me either, I still go to the gym, but am wondering what I am doing there as the weight just seems to like me SO Much, it doesn't want to leave me!!!!

I hate to admit, but I have been a fine of the show for years. It's pretty remarkable how much weight thet lose.

I'm not motivated by that show either. They certainly don't make those workouts look like fun!

I'm the same way - sit & watch, but I don't get up off the couch even AFTER it's over to do any exercise! And I agree that it was time for Joelle to go, but I felt bad for Carla, who really wanted to be there. Should make the finale interesting - wonder if Joelle will even show up?!
