Photoshop Love

I recently had my first paying photography job. I offered to pay them for taking a chance on me but instead they did pay me. These two adorable boys of our friends are individuals. That means they aren't photographed together. One spent most of the time up a tree and the other burying his trains in the dirt. When we finally did get them together they wouldn't pose or even look at me! Out of 202 pictures (thank goodness for digital!) I came out with about 25 that I thought were worthy of printing.

Here are a few of my favorites. I am a long way from where I would like to be photographically speaking but I had fun.

Thanks Luke and Noah for keeping me on my toes and making my first paying gig so much fun!

Last night while trying to get over a three day headache I spent some quality time with Photoshop. Here are a few of my creations.

I added a texture to make this one more fun.

This texture....I'm not liking as much. But that's what my Photoshop love is all about, experimentation.

This is our neighbors Christmas gift. They have an amazing amount of beautiful flowers all summer long. I snuck over one morning and took some pictures not knowing what I wanted to do with them. Then I found these free templates and wow!

After that one turned out so well I had to do this.

So the love continues to grow. Hopefully I can find some more suckers, I mean people, who are willing to let me take their pictures. It would certainly help me justify all the time I spend on Photoshop!

Anyone?

I think that bottom photo of the boy standing is awesome .... great line to lead the eye, and nice red pop of color in his hand, plus I really like the burned edged you put on it. Nice job!!

Hey, I took photos of friends and refused payment because it was more practice for me ... but then she snuck me a City Bites gift card as a thank you. Wanna go?? Hopefully this time we won't get plumbing-ed out! :)

Your pictures are beautiful...I have a trial version of photoshop and can't figure out how to do much on there, I just took some of my own kids for our Christmas card, I'm gonna try to put them up soon!

Beautiful pictures.

BTW the black and white picture shows a lump on the little boys neck.. have the parents had it checked out?

Well I think you are an excellent photographer and your photoshop skills are pretty amazing as well.

No need to justify your time spent in Photoshop, it is something you love doing, that is enough.

Good job!! I also had my 1st gig a couple of weeks ago on someone else's children (my kids are soo over being photographed)! I'm loving the learning curve in photography and photoshop. Each week the pictures get better. Be brave girl and snap more pics!!!
