Nifty Fifty

I am once again in love with an inanimate object. Seems to happen a lot. I used all my cd money I made selling musical pictures to buy a Nifty Fifty lens. Seemed like the right thing to do. My friends Jay and Alisa both have one and couldn't say enough good things about it. Jay demonstrated how it makes excellent bokeh. Something I strive for but have a hard time getting. It's a no-brainer with this lens!

My photography teacher raves about this lens and was impressed that I already had one when class started. He highly suggested the rest of the class get one and one other person did. For our weekly assignments the pictures I took with it got the best reviews. Really, you can't go wrong with this lens. The funny thing about it was Jay told me I'd love it for the bokeh, and Shawn told me I'd love it for the low f-stop and the good low light pictures it would take. It must be versatile!

Here are a few of my favorites using it.Isn't it amazing? Now if you'll excuse me, I think it deserves a little kiss.

Stephanie, which camera do you have and which lens is that exactly. I really would love to get one for Tom's camera. He has a Canon G10.

Beautiful photos! I guess I need a lens like that! I wondered how to take pics like that, but I need to read my manual too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the suggestion of the flax in the smoothies! I've started to add that too! Great idea.
